TWO EXTRAORDINARY MUSICIANS, EMBLEMATIC OF A NEW GENERATION WITH INSOLENT TALENT. Gregory and Jacques were both born on December 22, 22 years apart. They represent two generations of pioneers of Afro-Caribbean Jazz, from the two sister islands of the Caribbean: Martinique and Guadeloupe. Their two musical visions, although distinct, have evolved in symbiosis over the course of their projects. 22 is the result of this cross-pollination, in search of a multidimensional expression, both sophisticated and devoid of artifice. In the absence of drums, they transpose this rhythmic richness into their fingers and breath through the piano and saxophone. Two generations meeting. One representative per generation, and not a single drum. A unique duo that blends jazz and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
