Club Melancholia - Vinyle Rouge

Description

Hailing from the 2000s house scene with his label Place Blanche, Greg Kozo has been, in turn, a bartender in risqué bars, the musical director of Galeries Lafayette, a bassist in funk bands, and a legendary producer and DJ with his former group Make The Girl Dance. Far from being mellow, he returns to the arena with a sharper sound. Several captivating tracks like "Reviens" and "After" are sultry and subversive electro-pop songs, reminiscent of the sensuality of French Touch House or 80s Synth Pop. These tracks are performed by La Montespan, a mysterious creature and poetess of carnal desires, who imbues them with a gently erotic tone. In the dead of night, "Flamingos," "The Room," "Who Take Me Higher," and "Club Melancholia" take us into the depths of Paris's hottest clubs, where beats throb like inflamed bodies. "Magnolia" feat. Coeur (from the punk-rock band Schlasss) is a return to raw electro-rock, like a total experience of letting go. Finally, ascending the club stairs, "Amour Fou" and "Turbulences" are anthems celebrating pure love in a couple who have navigated all the dangers of the night together.
