Acclaimed composer (A Scanner Darkly, Before Midnight, Hit Man) Graham Reynolds releases his debut solo album for Fire Records. Pressed on limited edition purple/white vinyl, it comes in a deluxe mountain-shaped die-cut sleeve and includes a DL card. A sociogeographic journey along the Sierra. Composed and performed by Graham Reynolds, with contributions from his musical companions, the album was produced and mixed by the mysterious English duo Peter Talisman. His Austin neighbour, Jad Fair (aka Half Japanese), appears with backing vocals, alongside Italian singer Marta del Grandi, whose words in Linger In Silence further ignite a wondrous ode to the labyrinthine land in a seven-minute set: Prophet Harmonic. “This album is personal. It begins with Monadnock, the first mountain I ever climbed, in New England. Side one ends with Enchanted Rock, the first mountain I climbed in my adopted home state of Texas. Although I have released music throughout my adult life, this is the first time I have received support from a proper label for something that is my own and not tied to a film or other media. So, in a way, this is my first true solo album,” said Graham Reynolds.
