G-Sides

Description

This time, the name Albarn is spread everywhere on this project, which last year had to hide its instigators at all costs. A fictitious group but concocted with a real prodigy (Dan The Automator), Gorillaz created the event almost despite themselves, and Albarn finally came out of the woodwork to collect another bunch of laurels, all the more gratifying in his eyes since it had nothing to do with Blur. While Gorillaz shamelessly mixed punk, hip-hop, electronica, and dub from the cities, this "G-Sides" compiles soft B-sides, some rarities, and a few different versions that make the originals, nice as they are, seem like very great music. Unless you are a very dedicated collector or very deaf, why listen to this Philife Cypher Version of Clint Eastwood when the original was cleaning out ears? Same for the Soulchild Mix of 19-200. Because we love the guy and his ideas, we will save Faust from lukewarm water, a very Casio instrumental in tone, and this Ghost Train that Damon plays gospel-indus to make sure we notice it.
