With Bright Spirit, Gong completes a trilogy that began with The Universe Also Collapses (2019) and continued with Unending Ascending (2023). Recorded in London with their long-time collaborator Frank Byng, the album presents a more adventurous and dreamlike Gong than ever before. Dreams are central, both as a theme and as a method of creation, blending psychedelia, love, and exploration of invisible worlds. The opening track "Dream Of Mine" acts as a transmission from the in-between, while "Fragrance Of Paradise" surprises with its tenderness, the first true love song by Kavus Torabi. "The Wonderment" immerses the listener in a mystical, expansive, and timeless meditation. Always carried by the visionary legacy of Daevid Allen, Gong continues to bring its unique universe to life through numerous international tours. Bright Spirit embodies the Gong of today: free, bold, playful, and attuned to the frequencies between the waking world and the invisible.
