Lady Lake

Lady Lake is the second studio album by the British progressive rock band Gnidrolog. The album was recorded at Morgan Studios in London in 1972 and was released the same year. The songs on the album address a variety of concepts ranging from pacifism in "I Could Never Be a Soldier," to pilgrimage in "Ship," and Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake in the title track, "Lady Lake." Gnidrolog was originally formed in 1969 and signed to RCA Records in 1971. Following the album despite Harry's Toenail, Lady Lake featured a lineup consisting of Colin Goldring, Stewart Goldring, Peter Mars Cowling, and Nigel Pegrum. The album saw Gnidrolog continue to develop its unique form of progressive rock, which led critics to compare the band to cohorts such as Gentle Giant and Van Der Graaf Generator.
