CRUX/Dark Green Vinyl

Description

Glasser, the electronic project of Cameron Mesirow, will release her third album 'crux' via One Little Independent Records on October 6. 'crux' takes Glasser's enchanting blend of dreamy experimental pop and layered electronics to explore themes of personal identity, emotional vulnerability, and the human experience. The album traces journeys of self-discovery as she unpacks intimate experiences with maturity and a cathartic perspective. More specifically, the tracks on 'crux' address the death of an old friend, her meditations on the fragility of life, and the delicacy of relationships during times of uncertainty. Above all, it emphasizes the importance of creativity and writing during healing, and on an individual level, looking inward and examining one's grief, anxiety, and insecurities. Musically, it looks outward, incorporating traditional folk, Celtic influences to communicate her Scottish roots, and Eastern European styles, all initiated into her lush, atmospheric production, complex vocal harmonies, and intricate rhythms.
