Pugnello

Description

Gilla Band follow no set path, and have never needed to. For over a decade, the Dublin quartet made up of Dara Kiely (vocals), Alan Duggan Borges (guitar), Daniel Fox (bass), and Adam Faulkner (drums) has pushed the boundaries of contemporary rock, hybridizing post-punk, noise, and electronic with a unique radicality. After Most Normal (2022), their third album, the band entered a period of open exploration, with no defined destination. For four years, each member nurtured this suspended time through personal projects. From this fertile dispersion was born Pugnello, a record of recomposition and collision. Individual influences aggregate here in a frontal return where the organic tension of the band confronts a more controlled electronic turn. Between rupture and continuity, Gilla Band redefine their language once again, refusing any form of repetition and confirming their status as an unpredictable and essential entity.
