Cool Head

Description

2024 marks the release of Georgia's fourth studio album, Cool Head. Written in the year following her husband and collaborator's serious illness, Georgia describes the album as a long journey from night to morning. “Cool head,” a phrase her father always used to encourage her to think calmly, features a collection of frank and touching songs, ranging from Americana to 60s-influenced folk ballads. Recorded at Sain studios, near Caernarfon, the album includes contributions from Iwan Huws (Cowbois Rhos Botwnnog), Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo), Gwion Llewelyn (Aldous Harding), and Rhodri Brooks (Melin Melyn). With Gorky's Zygotic Mynci stalwart Euros Childs adding his inimitable vocals to a couple of songs, it's a true Welsh affair. It also includes string arrangements by Gruff Ab Arwel, bringing a new dimension to the songs. These are performed by Angharad Davies, Angharad Jenkins, and Patrick Rimes. The album is co-produced with long-time collaborator Iwan Morgan.
