A bass with sounds oscillating between New Wave and Jazz, brass instruments, a voice that alternates between spoken word and sung passages, an epic touch, and an experimental yet captivating final result: welcome to the world of GENN, a Brighton-based band that we'll call Post-Punk for simplicity, but which goes far beyond typical labels. The band started 10 years ago in Malta before moving to the UK. Their long experience has allowed them to develop a style steeped in references but truly their own. Everything is conceived as a modern work of art, from the music to the design of the "unum" album cover, a Latin word meaning uniqueness, unity, the feeling of being whole.
