Genesis holds a unique place in the history of rock, having constantly reinvented itself while remaining one of the most influential and successful bands of its generation. Formed in Surrey in 1967, the band first established itself as a pioneer of progressive rock in the early 1970s with Peter Gabriel on vocals, before embarking on a new chapter following his departure in 1975.
