THE GUITARS THAT DESTROYED THE

Description

Generation Axe is a supergroup formed by Steve Vai in 2016, made up of the cream of American Rock and Metal guitarists. Judge for yourself: none other than Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society / Ozzy Osbourne), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) and Tosin Abasi (Animals As Leaders) joined Steve Vai. The group toured North America in 2016 and 2018, as well as Asia in 2017. It is this Asian tour that is immortalized on the album Generation Axe : The Guitars That Destroyed The World (Live In China). Throughout the album, in different lineups, the band members perform not only tracks from their own repertoires, but also come together around standards such as “Highway Star” by Deep Purple and many others.
