For reasons that most fans already know, Gazpacho's 2020 tour "Fireworker" was canceled. Stuck in the difficult situation of having a well-rehearsed show and the prospect of a long time off the road, the band had to make a decision. The idea of a live broadcast that would reach fans around the world quickly emerged, and the band found the perfect setting in their own rehearsal space in the beautiful city of Fredrikstad.
The resulting film is a very dark journey into the world of "The Fireworker", captured on October 25, 2020. No setting, no polishing, no light show, nothing. Not even restoration. Just the pure interpretation of the music, with one or two surprises for those who have been following the band for a long time.
In Thomas Andersen's own words, "Gazpacho has always been an 'anti-band', in the sense that we strive to do things differently. That is why we wanted an 'honest' live stream where we decided not to play the concert on an empty stage with a light show. Instead, we decided to play it exactly as we do when we record or rehearse in the room we use."
