Description

The immense success of "Notre-Dame de Paris" served as a remarkable springboard for the artists involved. This is the case for Garou, also known as Quasimodo, who after Patrick Fiori now finds himself "Seul," as the title of his debut album suggests, a nod to the adventure. The eponymous song acts as the driving force of this album built around Garou's bluesy and gravelly voice (inspired by his absolute idol Joe Cocker) where old acquaintances have answered the call: Luc Plamondon wrote seven of the fourteen lyrics and Richard Cocciante composed "La Moitié du ciel." Musumarra, Veneruso, Langolff, and Benzi are also among the songwriters and composers featured on this first opus, which sits between rock-blues and mainstream variety. As a lovely gift, Céline Dion comes to sing on the beautiful song "Sous le vent." A charming godmother!
