Dirt/Milky Clear Vinyl

Description

With several composers, winding harmonies, and rock riffs stemming from an intensely communal creative process, Galore - bassist Ava Rosen, guitarist Griffin Jones, guitarist Ainsley Wagoner, and drummer Hannah Smith - embodies the spirit of a true musical collective. The theme of the album is in its title: Dirt. In ten songs, Galore brings listeners back to the sandbox of creativity to explore what makes them human through layers of discordant and off-kilter guitars, interwoven harmonies, and an incredible pop sensibility. The album was recorded and mixed by Kick at Santo Studios and Tunnel Vision in Oakland, California, during the year 2024. The band took their time writing the songs, creating sound moments, and producing an album that blends Galore's intensely catchy pop melodies with the fuzz and jangly guitar layers of Jones and Wagoner, warm wurlitzers, ironic sound effects, and the steady rhythm section of Smith and Rosen. Dirt is a superbly crafted album that marks a new milestone in Galore's sonic universe. The band's creative magic captivates listeners in this powerful summer album, which is sure to be played on repeat.
