Description

Icelandic group founded on the ashes of an old techno duo, its singer is none other than the son of Einar Orn from the Sugarcubes. Cold-wave and post-punk influences intertwined in tracks that can be found today in this album produced in Iceland by Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs. With Sports, Fufanu's music takes a slightly darker turn. However, it remains a skillful blend of new-wave, post-punk, and electronic music across the ten tracks of the album, some of which seem to be moments of sweetness (White Pebbles, Your Fool, and Restart, which closes the album) while others are real jolts (Gone for More, Just Me, and Liability). A new testament to the talent of the Icelandic scene.
