Wolf Lie Down (2017) is The Fresh & Onlys' 6th album and first for Sinderlyn Records. On it, the band is equally at home with hysterical garage rock tracks like "Impossible Man" and "One Of A Kind," as they are with the dark western of "Walking Blues" or "Black Widow." Wolf Lie Down draws on the band's literary guitar-pop arcana, seamlessly incorporating their desert pastoral sensibility into Cohen and Miles' damaged art-punk songwriting. While the album is primarily led and performed by the duo of Miles and Cohen, former members Shayde Sartin and Kyle Gibson provide their classic rhythm on a few tracks. They also enlisted original drummer James Kim, as well as touring companion James Barone (Beach House) on drums and mixing. This new chapter in the elusive world of The Fresh & Onlys is a triumphant return to form as jangle underground titans.
