After the symphonies of the child Mozart, it is with a "portrait of the artist as a young man" that the Freiburger Barockorchester resumes the Mozartian paths. The musicians venture this time into the realm of concertante music, with his last three violin concertos. Composed when he was barely twenty years old, they reveal, through their melodic and architectural richness, and the complexity of the dialogues between the soloist and the orchestra, essential milestones both in Mozart's production and for the concerto genre, which they completely renew. Abundantly served by the discography, these works are recorded here in an unprecedented version: in accordance with the practices of the time, the keyboardist Kristian Bezuidenhout improvises a pianoforte part absent from the original score, while conducting the orchestra, above which Gottfried von der Goltz, at the height of his art, hovers with finesse. A total rediscovery of this corpus!
