Following his meeting with the promising singer Hannah Rickard, when she participated in the album Aquostic, Francis Rossi wanted to continue the collaboration with her, as the chemistry between their two voices was perfect. Rossi's first Country project, We Talk Too Much, allowed the English singer to reconnect with one of his greatest passions. This album features 12 duets, all written and composed by Rossi and Rickard, with the assistance of Bob Young, a longtime collaborator of Status Quo.
