Les treize coups de minuit
Description
After 60 years of a career that began in the Parisian cabarets of the left bank, Francesca decided to re-record the treasures that have marked her life as an artist. Surrounded by her longtime team, Francesca gives new life to the texts of Allain Leprest, Louis Aragon, Pierre Mac Orlan, Léo Ferré, and her friend Jean Ferrat. Trained in classical singing by Marya Freund, in 1959 Francesca Solleville's career took a new direction, that of song. For the first time, she sings (in front of) Louis Aragon, at the Mutualité in Paris. At the same time, she meets Léo Ferré, who entrusts her with his songs the very next day. This marks the beginning of a journey where poetic and political commitments have never wavered. In thirteen reorchestrated and re-recorded tracks for the occasion, Les treize coups de minuit traces sixty years of unwavering demand. Thirteen strikes. Thirteen works by poets. Thirteen wonders of the world chosen by the interpreter in a burst of the heart, among those she has most often performed on stage. Open palm or raised fist, her engaged "Bella ciao" (first single) sounds like the definitive cry of freedom...Buy Les treize coups de minuit at the best price
