Food Pyramid's new album, Ecstasy and Refreshment, is where '70s Sky Records kraut-pop meets '90s futurism – a blend of Game Boy sound effects and motorik pop with vocals reminiscent of Byrne/Eno's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. The album was mixed by Kip Uhlhorn of Cloudland Canyon. Jana Hunter of Lower Dens, Nona Invie of Dark Dark Dark, Tony Janas, and Otto Junker of Deep Earth also collaborated on the album.
