Take A Look At The Sea - Clear Vinyl

Description

Fontanarosa is the safe haven that Paul Verwaerde has built amidst the storms of a life in motion. It serves as a vantage point for him to contemplate the world and his own. In spring 2022, Fontanarosa released their first full-length album, the excellent Are You There?. It features music so meticulously crafted that one is surprised by its naturalness. The shaping is pure, and the playing flows like a spring. With Florian Adrien on drums, who also handles the mixing of the albums, Kevin Lafort on guitar, and Grégoire Cagnat on bass, these four could have been playing together for 100 years and would sound no different. Take a Look At the Sea, the band's second album, is like gazing at the sea before departure. Darker, with a lyricism tinged with melancholy as heard in the first two singles from the album, the band is fantastic. The limitless crescendo of the guitars, the blend of the sharp attacks of electric rock with the harmonies of English folk, each member offers their finest playing. There is nothing on this album that does not come from the heart.
