The Journey is the autobiographical account of the last two years of Folamour, spent between airports and stages, London, France, and the rest of the world, amidst crowds and solitude, highs and lows. An album, set to be released next June, composed in metropolises and no man's land, inspired by significant moments that have deeply surprised and touched the artist. To express all these emotions, Folamour sets aside samples and computers to focus on writing lyrics, recording strings and brass, drums, and vocals in order to be as close to the moment as possible. No limits on format or genre, total freedom to choose the right tool for the picture. This album is the sum of chance and encounters, an initiatory rite, both in form and substance, the tale of a life with all it can contain of joys and trials, as much in its writing and production as in its message. "The Journey" blends contemporary sadness, the isolation of artists, but also the wonder of life's simple pleasures and the discoveries it brings along, it is neither a joyful narrative nor a sad and disillusioned tale, it is the sum of all that and more. Album cover adapted from a painting by Tomás Sánchez "Meditador en la laguna" from 1995. Edited by Koria.
