Flavio Boltro is undoubtedly one of the greatest representatives of jazz trumpet in Europe. Michel Petrucciani understood this very well by calling him to be part of one of his best groups. Flavio is a creative in the true sense of the word: he knows how to create his own music. Far from just playing a piece, he brings it to life!
This new album, titled Spinning, is an opportunity to listen to a complex and contemporary musical proposal in which the trumpet, double bass, and drums blend to produce lyrical atmospheres over sustained rhythms. It features electronic effects mixed with more traditional jazz, which bring to life open improvisations and enchanting communication, giving birth to contemporary and varied music. The acoustic sound, enriched with unpredictable electronic effects, is at the heart of the music of the BBB Trio, which draws its inspirations from rock, folk, but also from the modal jazz period of the sixties dear to Miles Davis.
