Flash

Description

Garage / Punk. The debut album by FLASH'S is a breath of fresh air of high-energy, unpretentious primitive punk. Hailing from all over the Guipúzcoa coast, their first album is far from the first rodeo for the band members, who have been involved in too many bands and activities to bore you. FLASH presents itself as a fully formed group that knows what it wants and how to get it. Sonically, FLASH also draws inspiration from their local legends LA PERRERA, the visionary fuckwave of MOPO MOGO, the pop-edge hardcore of ZERO BOYS, and the bizarre punk emerging from the Midwest in recent years to create a truly magical record. With lyrics sung in both Spanish and the Basque slang of their hometown, their attitude is clear and sharp. Monotony, authority, armies of has-beens, and conformist punks are taken to task, while self-doubt, anxiety, and an ode to our beloved punk also find their place in the lyrics. In short, eleven tracks of timeless, radical, critical, wild, and humble punk rock that will leave you wanting more with each listen. FLASH LP was recorded and mixed by Aritz Aranburu, who, in addition to playing guitar and writing some of the lyrics, also handled the album's design, with mastering done by Maxime Smadja.
