FKJ, the iconic artist from the Roche Musique label, unveils his debut album French Kiwi Juice and invites us into his world. Always carrying a clearly identifiable groove, the multi-instrumentalist with rare elegance announces the return of sunny days with tracks that are laid-back yet no less sophisticated. A tribute to his idols and a testament to his musical maturity, FKJ alternates tracks inspired by black music and jazz, with that electronic touch that makes his style incomparable. The vocals, especially those of the master himself, skillfully oscillate between sensitivity and sensuality. The basslines are rhythmic, balanced, and deep, providing the fundamental structure to an already well-constructed whole. FKJ leaves nothing out and also plays with soul, using his brass instruments on tracks like Canggu or Joy. His childhood questions (Why Are There Boundaries), his joys (Blessed & Joy), his travels (Go Back Home & Canggu)—the Franco-New Zealander opens up in an intimate and profound album, letting music speak as a universal language. Music has always held a central place in the artist's life: very young, he composed his own songs and recorded his first at age 14 in his uncle's studio. This self-taught multi-instrumentalist controls everything from the studio to the stage, switching between guitar, piano, saxophone, bass, and many others, resulting in high-level live performances. Previously working as a sound engineer in cinemas, the accomplished musician was revealed in 2013 with his single "Lying Together." Two EPs ("Time For A Change" and "Take Off") followed this first success and increased his international fame. Today, FKJ performs in Asia, North America, and Europe, and will soon embark on a tour of the United States.
