The new album "Til The Oceans Overflow" is part of the 40th anniversary of Fischer-Z's iconic album "Red Skies Over Paradise". It once again takes place in Berlin and contrasts the personal, political, and social changes between 1980 and 2020. The internet and social media have radically changed people's freedoms and manipulability. The characters mentioned in the songs from the 1980s have been advanced 40 years in their lives to illustrate some of these changes. The foundations of this new album were recorded by John Watts, founding member and leader of the band, in the famous Hansa studios in Berlin, but the Covid pandemic put everything on hold (also check out the music video single "Same Boat" from the summer of 2021). His international band provided parts from their homes via the Internet to John in Brighton, UK, who included them in his production. The album ends with the track "A.I.OWNS.U" which pokes fun at the wonders of artificial intelligence: "In Your Mouth, In Your Nose, Spoons". A.I. should not be introduced without caution! John Watts, the heart and soul of Fischer-Z, who is constantly evolving and is by definition a stage artist, has channeled the frustrations of the last year and a half into this new themed album.
