Contrebande is the title she chose for her second album... Five years after O'Ceol, violinist Fiona Monbet has indeed changed, asserting her difference in styles more than just simple virtuosity. To interpret this new repertoire, flirting between jazz and classical music, Fiona Monbet surrounded herself with Antoine Boyer (guitar), Pierre Cussac (accordion), and Damien Varaillon (double bass). Aside from the two covers, the composition of Contrebande is the work of the first three protagonists but also of Samuel Strouk, who specifically imagined a piece for this new album by Fiona Monbet.
