Maximal Minimalism

FILT is the instrumental music project of keyboardist/producer Jens Andersson. On their new album "Maximal Minimalism," FILT invites the listener into a musical realm where electronic soundscapes, acoustic warmth, and captivating melodies intertwine in an enchanting blend. The cover photo is taken by photographer Peter Westrup, and the pattern is of Kullaberg stone photographed under a microscope, so what we see are the stables in the stone. The first album "Over Frozen Friend" was released in 2022 and was named one of the best albums of the year by Sonic Magazine. On the new album, the synths and electronics have more space, but the acoustic elements are still present as a counterpoint. Flute, saxophone, strings, guitar, drums, and double bass contrast with the electronics throughout the album.
