During the 80s, Felt released ten albums and ten singles for the Cherry Red and Creation labels.
These records have been remastered and revisited by Lawrence.
These new editions follow the elaborate CD and vinyl reissue campaign and allow the most casual listener with limited storage space to explore the world of Lawrence and Felt.
Just like a Penguin paperback that updates its covers for each new generation of fans, these beautiful editions are, as always, designed by the Shanghai Packaging Company.
To understand 'The Pictorial Jackson Review', we must familiarize ourselves with Lawrence's original inspiration - Dylan's 'Nashville Skyline' and the Beach Boys' 'Friends'. He was obsessed with short albums full of short melodic songs.
A last-minute panic, however, resulted in the dismantling of the tracklist. Two of the songs that didn't seem to fit were replaced by two songs that absolutely did not fit. Logic becomes perverse when panic sets in. Here finally is the original album in its ten short pop songs.
Concise - minimal - a dash across a built-up area rather than a walk in an open view. It's like Vic Godard said – “blind alleys soothe the jewels”!!
