Duos avec piano

Description

By savoring the new CD by Duo Lontano released on GENUIN, a complete loss of contact with the real world awaits you: Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, an open door to dreams, and the youthful, sparkling String Octet, arranged by the composer himself for black and white keys and four hands. The colorful tableaux here turn into dramatic black-and-white images, the structures stand out differently and with more contrast than in the original versions. Added to this is the sensitivity of the pianists, perfectly in tune with each other, Babette Hierholzer and Jürgen Appell, the Duo Lontano, when they approach tender Romanticism. A more than fascinating glimpse into the compositional workshop!
