This adds a Third Sonata and the fragment of a Fourth, a torso of 367 measures displaying many promises that remained suspended from its magical, pianissimo beginning, imposing a twilight atmosphere where Alina Ibragimova's fluted bow becomes a nightingale on the silent wave of the piano. Marvelous! Just like the youthful Sonata, also in F major like the grand one, playful, impertinent, talkative, capricious, which the two friends enjoy enlivening with sharp exchanges and delightful interactions. A perfect album, which settles the question of the discography, not so sought after (certainly much less than that of the Cello Sonatas), of a suddenly significantly expanded corpus, but you will first start with the two great Sonatas identified, reinterpreted in such a unique way by a duo that should delve into Grieg's Sonatas, whose fertile imagination eagerly awaits them.
