RECORD/VINYLE MAGENTA TRANSLUCIDE AUDIOPHILE 180GR

Description

With Black Flag and the Circle Jerks, Fear helped define the sound and style of L.A. hardcore. Although they formed during the first wave of punk in 1977, they didn't release an album until five years later, titled The Record. They used their music to annoy everyone around them, and they achieved this goal brilliantly on their debut album. It remains a punk classic to this day, and Mark Rigby of Record Collector called it "probably the most exciting and impressive record of hate, one-dimensional, ill-mannered, tasteless, and hateful ever made." The album only spawned one single, "I Love Livin in the City," but includes many other gems, such as "We Destroy the Family," "Let's Have a War," and "Beef Boloney."
