Vieux Frères – Partie 1

Description

FAUVE presents itself as an open collective - what they call among themselves the "CORP" - operating across several media (music, videos, photos, texts, visuals, web, etc.) and whose work highlights a certain message: the rejection of the harshness of contemporary human relationships, the refusal of defeatism, the right to weakness, the all-powerfulness of speech, and the relentless quest for great Love (whatever form it may take). The founding members of FAUVE are all longtime friends. They first came together around music and the need to express themselves collectively. From this comes this French spoken word, set to instrumentals ranging from hip-hop to pop; this also explains the substance of the lyrics, transparent from start to finish, without lyricism or embellishment. But with hope. Today, the members of FAUVE want to continue formalizing their sorrows and joys, their fears and ideals, until their respective lives are better. Always with a collective outlook. Because there are never too many people for these things. The members of FAUVE are bound by a shared conception of Life and People. FAUVE fucks up fucked-up human relationships, undoes defeatism, hates hate and is ashamed of shame. FAUVE firmly adheres to the belief that Love can take the prize in this strange world. FAUVE is desperately optimistic. FAUVE started in 2010, with the writing of songs born from a shared and urgent need to let it all out with as few constraints as possible. The project now has 5 permanent members. FAUVE has not yet reached adulthood: other contributors continue to bring to the project, episodically but just as loyally (photography, texts, illustrations, etc.). They are also considered an integral part of the CORP, even if nothing is formalized. FAUVE is an open door day and night, a shoulder and an ear. FAUVE is whoever wants it. And who knows, maybe tomorrow there will be many of us?
