The album was produced by FATHER JOHN MISTY himself, accompanied by his partner at Bella Union, Jonathan Wilson (who also worked on Fear Fun), then mixed by Phil Ek, and finally mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. The result meets all expectations and the charm of the bearded one works once again. Folk, yes, although more pop than its predecessor, but still fiercely American (despite what the magnificent single Bored In The USA suggests), I Love You Honeybear is a concentrate of unstoppable melodies that go straight to your heart.
