A new scent floats on EWGA, its fourth long-format - of which only the initials have been revealed to date - and whose first single, "Carrie," will be released on April 17th. Fakear merges styles with a new depth, reaching out to Mount Kimbie, Floating Points, and Jon Hopkins, and plays with the sound accidents of his modular synths. Six years separate him from the global success of "La Lune Rousse," from his first EPs with Eastern influences released on Nowadays Records, and from those staccato and lively voices that shaped the "signature" Fakear, who since then has found himself playing alongside monoliths such as M.I.A. and Bonobo. The setup he has planned for his live performances, a mix of LEDs, machines, and totems, follows his previous concert format where he was surrounded by musicians. A way to return to a solitary, more club-oriented exercise, which illustrates the crossroads in which Fakear finds himself with Everything Will Grow Again. As this title suggests, the album evokes an almost post-apocalyptic hope, one that believes that, no matter the events or suffering, everything renews, evolves, and finds balance.
