San Francesco di Sales: apostle of Chablais is a reflection on the life and work of François de Sales, a Catholic priest appointed bishop of Geneva at the turn of the 17th century. Fabio Biondi conducts the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester and four of the best voices today: sopranos Monica Piccinini and Roberta Mameli, contralto Delphine Galou, and bass Luca Tittoto. The score also highlights instrumental virtuosity, and Biondi's violin offers us many memorable moments.
