Description

"Ernest Tubb's World Broadcast Recordings 1944-1945" is a compilation of radio transcriptions made by the country music pioneer for the World Broadcasting System. Each track on this compilation is drawn from either the 1944 sessions at Decca Records studios in Los Angeles or the 1945 sessions recorded in Chicago. On these 14 tracks, Tubb is accompanied by his core group of musicians, the Texas Troubadours: Jimmie Short (lead guitar), Leon Short (rhythm guitar), Butterball Paige or Jack Drake (bass), and Johnny Sapp (fiddle). Ray Head (steel guitar) also participated in the Chicago sessions.
