Singer and guitarist of the band The Whitest Boy Alive and co-founder of the label Bubble Records, the artist is mainly known for forming the duo Kings of Convenience with Erik Glambek Bøele. With his participation in various musical projects and his numerous collaborations on electronic, indie folk, and indie pop stages, Erlend Øye has a repertoire that is as broad as it is varied.
In 2012, he announced during a concert that he had bought a house in the city of Syracuse, Sicily. It is on this island that he will focus more on his solo career and become friends with three musicians and singers, with whom he will form the group La Comitiva (literally "the entourage"). Since then, various pieces regularly emerge from this collaboration.
In concert, Erlend Øye & La Comitiva deliver sincere and spontaneous performances inviting the audience to join them. From a mix of ukulele, guitar, and pianos sprinkled with wind instruments, the artist and his band create soothing and nostalgic pieces, inspired by the southern bossa nova and Sicilian traditions. Their warm and dreamy universe is sure to soften the hearts of their listeners.
