Nova - Front Cover
Erlend Apneseth

Nova

Description

Another success from the very reliable Oslo label, Hubro. The Hardanger fiddler Erlend Apneseth has spent most of the last decade collaborating with his label mates Frode Haltli and Stein Urheim, as well as his compatriot Margit Myhr, or blending folk, improvisational jazz, and modern composition within the framework of his unique Trio. Nova is his first solo album since his debut album Blikkspor in 2013, and at first glance, it seems to return to his roots. Nova is, by his own admission, his most personal work, and he never strays from the exploratory spirit that has defined his career.
