50th Birthday Live 2026 Coffret

Description

Erja Lyytinen (born July 7, 1976 in Kuopio, Finland) is a Finnish singer, guitarist, and songwriter. She launched her solo career at the very beginning of the 2000s and opened for Robert Plant in 2002! She has also played with Joe Bonamassa, and Carlos Santana says of her, “She’s the Future.” Her first album was released shortly after in 2002, followed by 10 more as well as 3 live albums. In 2017, she was voted Best European Guitarist at the “European Blues Awards.” She played with Santana in Helsinki in 2018. Her album “Another World,” released in 2019 (a live album was released in 2020), brought her even more recognition with the presence of Sonny Landreth and Jennifer Batten. She was ranked No. 16 in a “Guitar World” ranking published in 2019 of the 30 Best Blues Guitarists in the World Today. Her “Blues” wonderfully combines Blues, Rock, Pop, Funk, and also Progressive Rock. Her live performances are always highly engaging and energetic. After a new album, “Waiting For Daylight,” released in the fall of 2022, ERJA recorded a 4th live album, closing out the Spring 2023 tour... and released in October 2023. A live album was released in January 2025 to celebrate her 20 years of career. Her latest studio album, “Smell The Roses,” was released in April 2025. The Finnish “Queen of slide guitar” celebrates her 50th birthday with a sumptuous live album box set, including a double CD, a double vinyl, and a full DVD, recorded on March 21, 2026 at the prestigious House of Culture — nicknamed “Kultsa” — in Helsinki. This venue has a long tradition of hosting concerts, having welcomed renowned artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Slayer. Erja is accompanied by her formidable band throughout this 90-minute concert, packed with gems from her career. The release includes tracks taken from albums such as *Voracious Love*, *Another World*, and her latest studio album to date, *Smell the Roses*. In addition, this box set also contains a concert from the promotional tour for the album *Smell the Roses*, given in October 2025. Recorded at Tempo in Mikkeli (Finland), this concert features all the tracks from the album — such as “Dragonfly,” the heavy track “Abyss,” the poignant ballad “Empty Hours,” and “Wings to Fly” with strong southern rock accents — as well as Erja’s live favorites: “You Talk Dirty” and a 13-minute version of “Wedding Day.” This last track was originally recorded on the album *Another World* in collaboration with slide master Sonny Landreth.
