This 8-LP + 3-Blu-ray "The Definitive 24 Nights" Super Deluxe box set is the expanded edition of the "24 Nights" live album, which Eric Clapton released in 1991 to celebrate his record-breaking run of consecutive concerts at London's Royal Albert Hall. This box set offers nearly 6 hours of live music recorded in 1990 and 1991, including 35 previously unreleased performances. These recordings have been meticulously restored to create complete concerts, each focusing on a different genre: Rock, Blues, and Orchestral. The three Blu-rays are the video counterparts to the three aforementioned genres. Also included in this box set are a hardcover book and a numbered lithograph featuring a photo of Eric Clapton taken by Carl Studna. Eric Clapton was joined by exceptional musicians for these concerts: Jonnie Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Chuck Leavell, Phil Collins, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Ferrone, Ray Cooper, and Jerry Portnoy. The Rock concert includes classics like "Sunshine Of Your Love," "Can't Find My Way Home," "Layla," and "Wonderful Tonight," as well as a cover of "Crossroads" and a reggae version of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" with Phil Collins on drums. The Blues concert features standards such as "Key To The Highway," "Sweet Home Chicago," "Black Cat Bone," and "Reconsider Baby." Finally, the orchestral concert, which featured the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michael Kamen, includes splendid versions of "Layla," "White Room," "Bell Bottom Blues," "I Shot The Sheriff," "Lay Down Sally," and an epic 30-minute piece, "Concerto For Guitar."
