THE DEFINITIVE 24 NIGHTS (COFFRET SUPER DELUXE 8 VINYLES+3 BLU-RAYS)

Description

This Super Deluxe 8-vinyl + 3-Blu-ray box set, “The Definitive 24 Nights,” is the expanded edition of the live album “24 Nights,” which Eric Clapton released in 1991 to celebrate his record run of consecutive concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall. This box set offers nearly 6 hours of live music recorded in 1990 and 1991, including 35 previously unreleased performances. These recordings have been carefully restored to create complete concerts, each focused on a different genre: Rock, Blues, and orchestral. The 3 Blu-rays are the video counterparts to the three genres mentioned above. Also included in this box set are a hardcover book and a numbered lithograph featuring a photo of Eric Clapton taken by Carl Studna. Eric Clapton surrounded himself with exceptional musicians for these concerts: Jonnie Johnson, Jimmie Vaughan, Chuck Leavell, Phil Collins, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes, Steve Ferrone, Ray Cooper and Jerry Portnoy. Included in the Rock concert are the classics Sunshine Of Your Love, Can't Find My Way Home, Layla and Wonderful Tonight, as well as a cover of Crossroads and a reggae version of Knockin' On Heaven's Door with Phil Collins on drums. The Blues concert features standards such as Key To The Highway, Sweet Home Chicago, Black Cat Bone and Reconsider Baby. Finally, the orchestral concert, featuring the National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michael Kamen, includes splendid versions of Layla, White Room, Bell Bottom Blues, I Shot The Sheriff, Lay Down Sally and an epic 30-minute piece, Concerto For Guitar.
