The self-titled album Eric Clapton is the artist’s first solo album. Released in August 1970, it would become one of the most successful reinventions in rock history. This Deluxe edition features three different mixes of the album as well as the singles and alternative versions and outtakes. This album marks Clapton’s transition from the guitar hero icon he was in the 60s to that of a complete artist. For the occasion, he surrounds himself with new American musicians with a more roots-oriented sound, who provide a new setting for his talent.
