SHADES OF CHET/REMASTERED

Description

In 1998, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Chet Baker’s death, Enrico Rava and Paolo Fresu, encouraged and supported by promoter Mario Guidi, conceived the project (which came to fruition in 1999) of a concert tour dedicated to Chet Baker. On the occasion of the live re-creation of this fantastic event, scheduled for June 6 and 7, 2025 at Casa Del Jazz in Rome, the album is being released in a remastered version that will allow the listener to experience this emotional journey, the anticipation such an event arouses, and which will certainly not be disappointed. One particularity and clarification: the tracks of the two leaders are recorded on two different channels (Rava on the left, Fresu on the right); moreover, both performed a song, in a sort of “personal” tribute: Enrico Rava “Retrato em branco e preto” (Antonio Carlos Jobim) and Paolo Fresu “You can't go home again” (Don Sebesky).
