Nearly three years after the release of Shake, Endz returns with Harmed. The album was recorded live in Montreal at Breakglass Studio, under the guidance of Jace Lasek (The Besnard Lakes, Suuns, Land Of Talk, Wolf Parade, Patrick Watson, The Luyas). The crossing of the Atlantic allowed for a deep exploration of the cluttered minds of Fab Detry, Loïc B.O., and Kevin P. They focused on the essence of the trio: sharp guitars that often transform into shoegaze clouds, a groovy bass that takes unexpected turns, a drum set that – depending on its moods – delivers slaps or caresses, and innocent voices wrapped in pop melodies that blur the lines. In the most melodic folds of Harmed, a wound always lurks: the outside world, caught between aggression and perpetual absurdity, inspires each lyric and reverberates in the music. An abstractly political record? Without a doubt.
