Uptown in Orbit
Description
The time for Emmet Cohen has come. Since his first album on Mack Avenue, "Future Stride," Emmet Cohen has been traveling the world, bringing the joy of music to those in need during a global pandemic, while hosting weekly livestream concerts from his home in Harlem, New York. These livestreams provided a sense of community and a home for displaced musicians in New York, reminiscent of the rent parties of the 1920s. On "Uptown in Orbit," his second album for Mack Avenue, Cohen highlights the tradition of jazz while adding the modern touch necessary for today's times. This album features trumpeter and educator Sean Jones, saxophonist Patrick Bartley, bassist Russell Hall, and drummer Kyle Poole.Buy Uptown in Orbit at the best price
