Following on from the work begun on the album This World is Too _____ For You in 2019, Emily Wells revisits her original tracks, described by the press as visionary and breathtaking, in her latest album, In The Dark Moving. Originally created for the Liquid Music project organized by the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and for the Metropolis Ensemble, this new album takes the form of a minimalist and thoughtfully crafted work that accompanies the initial music, with nothing but Wells and her guitars. Entirely recorded by Wells in her Harlem studio during the summer of 2019, this record offers a new perspective on the songs from This World Is Too _____ For You, both in terms of interpretation and recording.
