It is an unreleased collection of performances that were broadcast on KNPR Las Vegas as part of Alan Grant's weekly radio program, 4 Queens Jazz Nightfrom Las Vegas, between 1984 and 1988. Released in collaboration with the Emily Remler estate, the album is available on CD and as a limited edition three-180g vinyl box set, mastered from the original tapes from the UNLV archives by Matthew Lutthans at the Mastering Lab, and featuring quartet performances with pianist Cocho Arbe, bassist Carson Smith and drummer Tom Montgomery, as well as trio performances with bassist Carson Smith and drummer John Pesci. The deluxe box set includes liner notes written by renowned author Bill Milkowski, as well as numerous other artists who knew or were inspired by Emily Remler, such as Sheryl Bailey, Russell Malone, David Benoit, Mike Stern, Lee Ritenour, Jocelyn Gould, and many others.As always with the Resonance label, the editorial quality is magnificent.
