The accompanying 120-page booklet, compiled by the recognized Elvis specialist, Ernst Mikael Jørgensen, is essentially a fully illustrated travel diary. It details the beginnings of Elvis's career using facts, anecdotes, documents, numerous rare photos, and succinct text. This 100% American saga begins on Independence Day in 1954, less than 24 hours before his first studio session, and ends in December 1955, when Sun's rights to Elvis's tapes officially expire and the singer leaves Sam Phillips and Sun Records to join RCA Victor.
