Description

Her debut album. Includes the tracks “Hey bro”, “Plus de place pour ta peine”, “Thomas Pesquet” and “Comment tu vas ? (feat. Ridsa)”. In music as elsewhere, youth is very often praised, and maturity less so. What if the very best of the best, the perfect boldness, consisted in showing both at the same time? A legitimate question when it comes to Eloïz, who, while showing artistic talent from a very young age, wrote and composed a huge hit at 16 and brilliantly follows through at 25. It must be admitted that it is rare to achieve this grand slam with only a guitar and a few TV appearances as a springboard... Rare and precious. For the dreamy little girl who, from the age of 6, split her passions between sport and music (through the school choir and piano, entirely self-taught) would, barely ten years later, on her own in her bedroom, write Hey bro (her very first song!), which has since become a gold single and Top 3 on radio airplay in France. Nothing less... Beyond the “phenomenon” aspect of an early hit by an artist “ahead of her time,” what must above all be recognized in Eloïz is a steel-hard temperament. The kind that never leaves childhood hopes and life dreams by the roadside (we envy them so much). Neither years in the gendarmerie nor a fleeting stint on a national talent show would get the better of the young artist’s calling. Quite the opposite! Too much passion, too much hope, too much talent, after all... From that TV adventure, Eloïz retained the connection with the audience, the spark, and her inexorable desire to set out on this path as a performer, however steep it may be. A dreamy, solitary child, the young woman knew how to let the desire for a sung future blossom within her and never balked at the effort and the long hours of learning and rehearsing it required. Quite the opposite, she spent entire days recording her first guitar-and-voice demos on her phone, just in case... Along her path came deep inspirations, from Passenger to Tracy Chapman. But it took so much boldness and determination to try to follow in their footsteps and carve her own mark over them. And to try to open a path in France for the “folk pop country” that is usually listened to, and danced to, more than 12 hours’ flight from here... What proved Eloïz right, without a doubt, was the stage... The stage of her TV shows, yes, but above all those shared with Claudio Capéo on his Zénith tour or with Les Frangines, all of them mentors whose blessing is worth a thousand on the self-esteem scale! Today, Eloïz arrives with a masterful debut LP featuring, of course, the essential Hey Bro, as well as thirteen other brand-new tracks that will take you from Nashville to the North of France in less than 60 minutes. Between personal stories and stories lived by those close to her, the self-portrait is never far away and outlines the contours of a singular personal universe. The bet is on, the bet is won!
